I recently equipped some shoulders on my dps toon that are probably best classified as tank shoulders (basically just because I had the emblems and they are better than my old ones in a lot of ways.) All the sudden most of my current enchants are rated at zero and tank enchants are being suggested. Is there a way to tell wow-heroes that my toon is not being used as a tank so it rates/suggests enchants properly? I might have to use these shoulders for a while...

With 457 defense your character is rated as tank. Problem isn't only with your shoulder item since your head, chest, gloves and 1 ring also have defense (in other words you are using tanking items and your character can not be rated as dps in any way).
