ive been keeping an eye on how me and my guild members have been ranking. i came on the other day to find that nataliaa my death knight isnt loading on a death knight search, a blood DK search or a general tank search...but i can find her when i search for a specific character...i can find all my other alts except her?

Can you please tell us your zone (US or EU) and server name so we can investigate where is the problem.
I suppose that your character has better score in dps spec/gear and that causes a problem with search , character will be always shown with a best scored spec -spec marked with a star on character page.

Your character can be found as frost DK since your char have best gear in that spec (as you can see on the screenshot).
