With ICC and the reduced dodge is this once again a viable enchant? http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=27946 i put it on a backup shield and it gives .91% more block, i know that there is a difference with value and rating. i noticed the site gave 5 pts for the shieldblock enchant and more for value. which is the better enchant? it seems that combining this with something like http://www.wowhead.com/?item=50290 would be pretty good when trying to build up a bit more block for icc

It should receive higher than 5 Points indeed, but not 15. Since [Enchant Shield - Defense] is still better for avoidance.

yes but with the diminishing returns is 20 def really any better when most tanks i see are already pushing 560+ defense without gemming or enchanting for it?

You can always put Stamina on shield if you got too many Defense already

But 20 Defense > Shield Block enchant and Shield Block Enchant > 5 points

The Titanium Plating is what you need on your shield, 81 block value and the disarm duration reduction

I push over 600 defense in my avoidance gear and yes 20 defense is still the better avoidance enchant despite diminishing returns. you're still gaining miss, dodge, parry, and block. defense is the best avoidance stat if you are including block with avoidance. the amount of defense needed to outweigh the amount of shield block given is not reasonable to reach. no one is going to gem pure defense.
