So for instance, I click find upgrade, go to wowhead and look for the upgrade I'd like to aim for, copy the item's code (12345) and return to wowhead, enter it in a field somewhere and change my stats according to that item?

Would be epic to be able to do that.

My mage has the 40/0/21 spec, Arcane-Frost.

I currently have the +40 spelldamage enchant on my weapon. (http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=27975). This gives +40 spelldamage to all schools of magic.

On WoW-Heroes, this enchant is rated +8 for enchant while it is in fact, the best possible weapon enchant for my spec.

The enchants that would give me +10 would be Soulfrost (http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=27982) and Sunfire (http://www.wowhead.com/?spell=27981) which would respectively give +54 frost damage or +50 arcane damage to my spells.

As a typical Arcane-Frost rotation would be 3xAB+3xFB or 10xAB+2xFB depending on your mana-regen. All in all, in my opinion, a general +40 spelldamage would be more beneficial then the +50 arcane damage as you would lose 50 spelldamage on your frostbolts you're bound to cast at some point, unless you have a shadowpriest AND a shaman in your party. :p

Again, I don't think specs are being held in account (yet) and obviously for most cases the scoring would be correct. Just wanted to moan a bit.

As you see, I've just added "Spell damage item (damage=healing)". This gives me a pretty accurate list of all spellcaster boots available out there that are an upgrade to mine.

I'm sure this can be done for all other classes and their roles in accord to their spec.

I was wondering if you guys think it's possible to allow for a guild comparison tool. Not so much in comparing all characters in a guild, but rather same-class characters in a guild. That, in my opinion, would be very useful.

In addition to that, I know the armory lists ranks. It would be very usefull if in our query, we could specify which ranks we would like to include in our class-comparison.

For instance; I want to see a comparison of all Mages in my Guild, and I would only like to include Ranks 1, 2, 3, 4 and 8 as all other ranks would be alts or non-raiding characters.

Lastly, and I know that's gonna be a tad bit harder. :p
As the armory lists specs aswell, a character's role in a raid can be easily deducted. What if I wanted a list of all my tanks? Or a comparison of all my healers. And obviously, a comparison of all my DPS. But only with the very basic stats since different classes are hard to compare to one-another.

Edit: I feel I should give an example about the last suggestion; A list with character score, number of gems, number of enchants, and the main stat of a role. (+ damage/+hit/+crit, + healing/MP5, tanking stuff (of which I know nothing :p)).

I know there's already a gratz topic going, but this way the forums look busier.

Anyway, credits where credit's due, gratz with a very very nice website! It is very usefull indeed to have a fast overview of your character and a pretty solid evaluation about it.

The option to compare two characters is great too, it's already helped me to identify a few possible tweaks I'm going to apply to my char as soon as I get online. Thanks for that!
