prot heals may be the biggest heals but not necessarily the best healing spec, you will have more heals but your gonna overheal anyways so those extra heals are useless and your not getting the mana back from the 8% crit from the ret tree, the only thing prot gives is a nice Flash of light build and raid utility other than that it is Holy Ret all the way.
